Day 5: Making it Real

Sometimes we start to feel a little scared at this stage of the game.

You might even be considering setting this aside (not really quitting, but picking it up later in a few months, etc.).

I get it, It's a lot of work to get to the finish line!

You're not alone. Many of us feel this way & it's perfectly okay. Reach out and let us know how you are. Connect with your accountability partners or someone you know if you need support.

And, if you're ready, start the first draft of your "Sales Page", by just:

● Opening a new page (on your WordPress site, or website builder of choice)
● Give the page a name
● Write something... anything... on the page
● List a few of the key benefits people will get from purchasing your product
● Save it as a draft.

It will start to feel "Real" I promise!

And, if you're having any doubts – sometimes the "fraud syndrome" creeps in at this stage too. Remember the work we did together on Day 1.

“There is someone out there who you are meant to help!”

Even if you're only able to help one person, wouldn't it be worth it to finish this product & make it available for him/her?

Keep your ideal client in mind when you're working through the next few days.

Naming your product

If you're anything like me, coming up with a product name is enough to hold me back for weeks, months or even years.

A great place to start is to ask your online community for feedback. If we're running a live 14 Day Product Challenge while you're reading this book, ask in the Facebook group. Describe the product you're creating, what you want to achieve, and how you would like your ideal client to feel after. See what they come up with.

Or, you could try asking yourself questions like:

● Would this title work on the cover of a magazine?
● Does it get your attention?

Or, you might want to try using a title generator like these two:

Ultimately, you'll want to pick a “working title” and move forward. Software developers and book authors do this all the time. It's normal.

Or, maybe you're one of the lucky ones, who finds it really easy to come up with fun, meaningful & clever names! I'm a little jealous, but also grateful you're in the world, creating something new this week!

Write your list of products names, and then circle your top 3 favorites.

To Do Today

  • Make the first draft of your “sales page”
  • Pick a “working title” for your product
