Day 14: Testing and Launch

Have someone test your full sequence today. You could do an exchange with another participant. Have them turn on a screencast (like Jing or screencast-o-matic.com - both are free) and record themselves as they're going through the process. Ask them to mention anything they find confusing or awkward.

If possible, ask them to record these steps:

● Clicking on the link you give them
● Buying the product (you may want to give them a coupon code or simply refund the money from PayPal later)
● Accessing their receipt
● Downloading or accessing the files you've included

Does it all make sense? Fine tune as you see fit. Make sure things aren't "Buggy" (are there little bugs/glitches that need to be fixed?). And repeat if needed until it's easier.

Make notes on your sales page if there is something people may be confused about. You might include a note like this one that I added on day 3 of the “your first webinar sale”:

example_buy_now_message
"After you place your order and confirm payment you will be redirected to a "thank you" page with access to download the file & click through to watch your training videos. Please include your name and email address too, so that I can send you updates to the video training program as they are released.

If for some reason you're not redirected, please send me an email at help [at] loraleehutton.com and I'll get a link to you asap.”

You would not believe how much this small statement has helped. There indeed were people who didn't get redirected (sometimes iPads don't open new tabs, and there can be a myriad of other technical glitches). Just writing this one simple note seemed to immediately change the tone of the support emails I was getting. From being angry and frustrated to, "Hey, I just wanted to let you know it hasn't come through. Can you help?"

Launch Emails

Remember those letters we pre-wrote? Grab them now, making minor changes, and send to the people who are helping you promote.

Brush up the email you're going to send to your email list tomorrow. And send them a quick pre-launch email to ask them to watch their email in box tomorrow.

Thank You Page

Add "click to tweet" on the thank you page of your offer. Invite people to share immediately after they've purchased. Include links to Twitter, Facebook, G+ or Pinterest (choose one or two based on what you know about your ideal client).

Tomorrow is launch day! You can do this!

To do today:

  1. Test your “buy sequence"
  2. Add instructions below your “buy now” button
  3. Send pre-launch emails
  4. Revise launch email
